Your First Visit
We look forward to welcoming you to our office. To ensure a smooth and unhurried experience, we ask that new patients arrive about 15 minutes prior to their appointment to complete any necessary forms.
Your visit will begin with your dental hygienist, who will guide you through the initial steps of your appointment. This typically includes taking low-radiation digital X-rays and performing a gentle evaluation of your gums to assess for any signs of periodontal (gum) disease. A professional cleaning will also be completed during this visit to help establish a healthy foundation.
Dr. Dace will then join you for a comprehensive exam, reviewing your records and discussing her findings with you. Together, you will go over any recommendations and treatment options, with plenty of time to ask questions and understand what is best for your individual needs.
Because every patient is different, each visit is thoughtfully tailored. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, informative, and personalized experience from the very beginning.
Financing & Insurance
We believe dental care should feel both accessible and straightforward. Our office accepts most dental PPO plans and offers flexible financing options through CareCredit, allowing you to choose a payment option that works best for you.
Sanctuary Dental is an out-of-network provider, which means we are not contracted with insurance companies. Most patients are still able to use their benefits and receive reimbursement, depending on their individual plan.
Maintaining our out-of-network status allows us to prioritize your experience—spending the time needed for thoughtful, personalized care while ensuring consistency in the team you see at each visit.
While dental insurance can help offset costs, it is not designed to cover all recommended treatment. We will verify your benefits and submit claims on your behalf to help maximize your available coverage. Patients are responsible for providing current insurance information and for any balance not covered by their plan.
Please note: We are not able to file claims for HMO plans or public health insurance programs such as Medicaid or Healthy Illinois Plan. These plans typically require patients to visit in-network providers to utilize their benefits.
